SALISBURY, Md.- Police on Wednesday arrested a suspect accused of holding up a Royal Farms convenience store in Salisbury.
Salisbury police said the suspect has been identified as 55-year-old Arthur Leonard Brown. Based on information received from a community tip, an arrest warrant was obtained and the Maryland State Apprehension Team took Brown into custody.
The alleged incident reportedly occurred at around 9:35 p.m. Sunday at the Royal Farms located on 101 N. Salisbury Blvd. Police said Brown entered the store, displayed a firearm and demanded money from the clerk. Investigators said the clerk complied and Brown then fled the business on foot. No one was injured during the incident.
Brown, who according to court records is homeless, has been charged with armed robbery, robbery, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm used during a felony and theft less than $1,000. He is being held without bond in the Wicomico County Detention Center.
