CAMBRIDGE, Md.- A 44-year-old Taylors Island woman is behind bars following accusations that she passed forged prescriptions at a Cambridge pharmacy.
Charlene Hurst Schwer of Taylors Island, was taken into custody by the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office on Sept. 17. She was charged with obtaining a prescription by fraud, obtaining a prescription by concealing a material fact, obtaining a prescription drug by impersonation, identity theft with the intent to fraudulently use the information, fraudulent identity to avoid prosecution and forgery of a prescription.
Authorities said she was wanted by the Cambridge Police Department for allegedly using forged prescriptions at the Walgreens Pharmacy in Cambridge.
Following her arrest on the aforementioned charges, Schwer was ordered held on $5,000 bond.
