NEWARK, Del.- Delaware State Police on Thursday terminated an Amber Alert activation for a girl who may have been kidnapped in Newark.

Police said witnesses reported that a girl, described as white and 10- to 12-years-old, was pulled into an SUV while she was walking on Albion Drive about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers said the vehicle was driven by a man about 30-years-old. The SUV is described as an older model, white, with rear dark tinted windows and a roof rack.

Police said the vehicle was last seen making a right onto Old Newark Road.

Authorities have no description of what kind of clothes the girl or the suspect were wearing.

Even though the Amber Alert has been canceled, the New Castle County Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.

The public is asked to call 9-1-1 to offer information regarding this incident or sightings of the vehicle.
