Posted:

DOVER, Del.- Police are looking for three armed suspects wanted for robbing half a dozen people of their cellphones and other valuables behind a school in Dover.

Dover police said that on Friday, Sept. 27, the suspects approached six people behind Central Middle School, just east of the intersection at Smith Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, pulled out handguns and demanded the victims' cellphones. Five of the six victims had their cellphones stolen from them. One of the victims also had his shoes and watch stolen from him. Another victim had his camouflage-colored wallet containing approximately $30 stolen as well.

The three suspects ran eastbound through the school's ball fields and were later spotted running westbound on Mary Street near the intersection with Bradford Street.

Investigators said all three suspects were described as black and are believed to be in their late teens to early 20s. One of the suspects was additionally described as 6-foot-tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and armed with a black handgun. Another suspect was further described as 5-foot-8, wearing a CWS ball cap and armed with a black handgun, possibly a .45-caliber make. No further description was available for the third suspect.
