EASTON, Md. – An Easton man was arrested after police discovered a large marijuana plant at his home, police said.

On Sept. 25, deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office responded to the 25000 block of Royal Oak Road for a civil process service. Police said that while at the home, deputies observed a potted 4-foot-tall marijuana plant in plain view.

Contact was made with the 57-year-old homeowner, Craig Anthony Musil, who told deputies that the plant belonged to him, police said. Deputies said a consent to search the home was granted and several smoking devices were confiscated along with the marijuana plant.

Musil was arrested and charged with manufacture of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was released on his personal recognizance.
