VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) Virginia Beach's City Council has approved an expansion of the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center that will include a zip line and a coastal conservation garden.
The aquarium plans to partner with Outdoor Ventures Group on the aerial adventure park.
This phase of the project is scheduled to be completed by mid-June 2014. The conservation garden is scheduled to open in fall 2014.
Aquarium executive director Lynn Clements says the aerial adventure park will be the largest in Virginia.
Media outlets report that the council approved the project Tuesday.
