Memorial Decals Raise Money for Charity

Posted:

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City Police and the "Toys from Tommy" holiday charity campaign are teaming up this year.

The goal of the partnership is to raise money for the charity, through the sale of memorial decals to honor Ocean City Police officers Thomas Geoghegan and Joshua Adickes.

The two officers passed away this summer when the plane they were in crashed into the water off the coast of Ocean City.

Event organizers are offering a memorial decal depicting the outline of Geoghegan's aircraft and tail number. The decals will be sold for a small donation between $3 and $5.

All money raised will go to the Santa House Christmas/Holiday toy and food campaign to help needy families in Ocean City and Worcester County.

The decals will be sold at the following locations:

-Kirby's Pub in the 94th Street Plaza

-Dolle's Popcorn and Candyland locations in Ocean City on Wicomico Street and 67th Street

-Directly from event organizers by calling 443-497-2968
