Alleged Arsonist Leader Heading to Court in Md.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP)- The alleged leader of a group of youthful arsonists in western Maryland is heading to court in Hagerstown.

Twenty-one-year-old Tyler Murray of Williamsport has a motions hearing scheduled Monday morning.

Authorities say Murray was at the center of a group of eight young adults blamed for setting fire to dozens of barns, vehicles, garages and outbuildings last spring.

They say the defendants communicated electronically. And they say Murray taunted investigators with spray-painted messages, including one reading, "catch me if you can."

Three other defendants have pleaded guilty to reduced charges.
