Man Charged in $300,000 Queenstown Jewelry Store Robbery

QUEENSTOWN, Md. (AP) - Maryland State Police say a Prince George's County man has been charged with a robbery at a Queenstown jewelry in which more than $300,000 worth of jewelry was stolen.

Authorities say 42-year-old Roy L. Tolbert surrendered to the state police Forestville Barracks on Friday. He is charged with armed robbery and other offenses.

Troopers say on May 19, a gunman entered the Ultra Diamonds jewelry store and stole dozens of pieces of jewelry. No one was injured during the robbery.

An investigation by state police and the FBI led to Tolbert being identified as a suspect.
