Judge Denies Attorney's Request

ACCOMAC, Va. – A judge rejects an attorney's request to be taken off a case and get the trial moved back.

Attorney Shannon Dunham asked Accomack County Circuit Judge Glen Tyler on Tuesday to be removed from the case in which she represents a woman accused of a string of arsons along Virginia's Eastern Shore.

Tonya Bundick of Parksley was indicted in August on one count of arson and one count of conspiracy. Her trial is set for Nov. 6.

Bundick's fiance, former volunteer firefighter Charles Smith III, faces 67 counts of arson and one conspiracy count.

According to court documents, Smith told investigators he set 52 unoccupied buildings on fire while Bundick set another 15 on fire.
