Arson Blamed for Crisfield House Fire

CRISFIELD, Md.- Authorities are investigating an arson late Thursday night that caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage to a Crisfield home.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze occurred at around 11:35 p.m. at a vacant home located at 329 Cove St.

It took 20 firefighters from the Crisfield, Marion, Fairmount and Princess Anne fire departments about one hour to get the one-alarm fire under control.

There were no reported injuries. The fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage.

An investigation determined the fire started on the second floor of the home and was intentionally set.
