Del. State Police Say Millsboro Man Dies From ATV Accident

Posted:

MILLSBORO, Del. – A 57-year-old Millsboro man has died in an ATV accident.

Delaware State Police say Frank J. Wilkerson was riding a 2012 Honda Ranger ATV in a wooded area north of the intersection of Robinson Way and Thorogoods Road.

State Police say at 3:52 p.m. on Friday they responded to the area after workers inspecting a railroad track discovered Wilkerson's body pinned under an ATV.

Preliminary investigation indicates Wilkerson was riding the ATV and encountered loose rocks while riding over a hill. Police say the loose rocks gave way and Wilkerson and the ATV tumbled down the hill.

Officials say the ATV ultimately landed on top of Wilkerson.

Delaware State Police are still investigating the incident.
