Man Critically Injured in Smyrna House Fire

SMYRNA, Del.- Authorities are investigating an early Monday fire in Smyrna that left a man critically injured.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal's office said the fire occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. at a house trailer in the unit block of Juniper Court in the Holly Hill Estates near Route 13 on Sunday. Members of the Citizens Hose Company arrived on the scene with flames bursting from the dwelling. One man was taken from the home to Kent General Hospital in critical condition.

State fire investigators are still trying to determine the fire's origin and cause.

No other injuries were reported.
