Police said they responded to an apartment located in building 1029 of Adams Avenue in reference to an armed robbery shortly after 1 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4.  The investigation revealed that two suspects entered the apartment after the victim opened the door and allegedly displayed a handgun demanding money.

The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and a cellphone before fleeing the area on foot, police said. The victim was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center and treated for a head injury before being released.

Police said during the investigation, the suspect was identified and is currently wanted.  The suspect is identified as 19-year-old Gerard Dawson Dennis, of Salisbury, and should be considered armed and dangerous. There is no word yet on the identity of the second suspect.
