Community Resource Day for Homeless to be Held in O.C.

OCEAN CITY, Md.- The Worcester County Homeless Committee will host a community resource day for homeless people or people at risk of homelessness from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 at Atlantic United Methodist Church in Ocean City.

Community Resource Day will provide services such as housing, counseling, treatment and healthcare.

"Share the Harvest" will be at the event to hand out a limited number of free bags of food, available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Personal hygiene products such as soap and toothpaste will also be available. Atlantic General Hospital will be providing free flu shots.

Local businesses and individuals are asked to donate personal hygiene products to this event. The items will be distributed at the Community Resource Day in October and at future Community Resource Days throughout the winter. Monetary donations are also accepted.
