YORK, Pa. – Wesley College's Dieunise Desir has been named to the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country All-Conference team, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon. A second team selection, Desir is the first Wolverines cross country runner of any gender to earn All-CAC honors. In 2006, Joleen Schilling earned Second Team accolades by the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.
A native of New Castle, Del., Desir placed 16th in a school-record 23:34 in the 6K at the CAC Championships to earn All-CAC honors. Desir shattered the 11-year-old school-record held by Hall of Famer Angela Brown by 24 seconds.
Desir, who also ranks sixth in school-history in the 5K, is slated to run at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships on Saturday, November 16, hosted by Muhlenberg College at Lehigh University.
