Waterfowl Festival Events, Comptroller to Attend

Posted: Updated:

EASTON, Md. - Comptroller Peter Franchot says he'll be among the thousands of people who plan to attend the annual Waterfowl Festival this year.

Franchot says he will attend the festival Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

This is the 43rd Waterfowl Festival happening in Easton this weekend. There are retriever, birds of prey and fly-fishing demonstrations, the Delmarva Dock Dog competition, a wine and tasting pavilion, the debut of a craft brew pub, and a sportsman's pavilion.

The Comptroller's office says there are also exhibits of the winners of the Federal Duck Stamp and Maryland State Junior Duck Stamp competitions.

This year's 2013 Hall of Fame inductees are volunteers Hugh Dawkins and William "Bill" Millar.

Dick Christian is the featured artist.
