Del. Couple Arrested for Selling Alcohol Without a License

GEORGETOWN, Del.- A tip led to the arrests of a Georgetown couple accused of selling alcohol without a license from their home. 

The Delaware Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement on Thursday said an investigation confirmed 66-year-old Alicia M. Lopez and 80-year-old Graciano Lopez were selling alcohol from their home on Lantern Lane and agents actually purchased alcoholic beverages from there.

DATE said agents and members of the Georgetown Police Department on Thursday executed a search warrant at the home and seized several brands of beer and more than $1,300 in cash. Investigators said it was discovered that the home was also operating as an unlicensed convenience store and restaurant, selling various beverages, food and personal items.

Alicia Lopez was charged with selling alcohol without a license and released on $250 unsecured bond. Graciano Lopez was charged with selling alcohol without a license, illegal storage of alcohol, and carrying on an unlicensed business. He was released on $750 unsecured bond.
