EASTON, Md.-Comptroller Peter Franchot will join thousands of festival-goers strolling Easton this weekend at the annual Waterfowl Festival at Tidewater Inn.

The festival that begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday will showcase world-class waterfowl and wildlife art, decoy carvings, sculptures and artifacts.

There are retriever, birds of prey and fly-fishing demonstrations.

There is the Delmarva DockDog competition, a wine and tasting pavilion, the debut of a craft brew pub, a sportsman's pavilion, exhibits of the winners of the Federal Duck Stamp and Maryland State Junior Duck Stamp competitions and the ever-popular Championship Goose Calling Contest, leading up to the finals Saturday evening.

There will be food and music. This year's 2013 Hall of Fame inductees are long-time volunteers Hugh Dawkins and William "Bill" Millar. Dick Christian, a festival favorite, is the featured artist.
