DOVER, Del. (WBOC) - Firefighters rescued a woman from her Kent County home around noon Monday.

The chief of the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company says it happened on Tall Pines Drive south of Dover.

Firefighters arrived on the scene with smoke coming from the trailer home.

The 85-year-old victim suffered burns and smoke inhalation and was taken to the Crozer Burn Center in Pennsylvania where she is listed in critical condition. One child resident was treated for smoke inhalation and released from Kent General Hospital.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office estimates damage at $10,000. The home's smoke alarms were not working.

The investigation into a cause continues.
