Md. Dept. of Veteran Affairs Opens Easton Service Center

ANNAPOLIS, Md.The Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs says there will be a grand opening of the department's Easton Service Center Friday, Nov. 15.

The department says the Easton Service Center intends to get benefits from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Defense, State of Maryland, and other programs to help the men and women who served in the armed forces. The department anticipates the Easton Service Center will make contact with over 700 veterans monthly, and 8,500 annually.

The department says the ceremony takes place from 11:00-12:00 p.m. on 11 South Harrison Street in Easton.

In attendance will be Senator Ben Cardin, Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Edward Chow, Easton Mayor Robert Willey, State Senator Richard Colburn, and Delegate Adelaide Eckardt.
