Salisbury's MAC Inc. Holds Affordable Care Act Symposium

Posted:

SALISBURY, Md.- Navigating through the many healthcare changes can be a challenge, and the MAC Center in Salisbury is trying to make the transition a little easier for seniors. Experts came together as part of Friday's Affordable Care Act Symposium at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.

The program discussed Maryland's implementation of the ACA, and how it affects Medicare beneficiaries.

"Really, at this point, nobody knows whether this is going to be successful or not, because it hasn't been implemented," explained Ted Meyerson, president of the United Seniors of Maryland Education Foundation. "So, every question is important, because every question answers some doubt that somebody has."

The MAC Center encourages any Marylanders with questions related to the Affordable Care Act to stop by their office at 909 Progress Circle in Salisbury, or give them a call at (410) 742-0505.
