MIDDLETOWN, Del- Delaware State Police say a motorcyclist was critically injured in a weekend crash in Middletown.

Police said 60-year-old Gary Brounce of Bear was riding north on Cedar Lane Road shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday when he drifted off the right side of the road, then overcorrected and lost control. Brounce and the motorcycle slid along the road and came to rest on an embankment on the western edge of the road.

Police say Brounce was flown to Christiana Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition.

The DSP Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing its investigation into the crash.
