SALISBURY, Md.- Deputies with the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office say they have arrested a Salisbury woman accused of stealing personal checks from a family member and then passing them off at area supermarkets to buy groceries.
Deputies said that during their investigation, they learned that a total of 33 checks were obtained by 33-year-old Tamika Dalon Walker without the account holder's permission. Walker proceeded to use those checks at Salisbury-area grocery stores to purchase more than $2,000 worth of groceries during the summer of 2013, police said.
Walker was arrested Friday and charged with theft of $1,000 to $10,000. She was ordered held in the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of $15,000 bond.
