Homeowner Arrested on Drug Charges After Invasion

TALLEYVILLE, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police have arrested a man who was shot during a home invasion after officers say they found 40 pounds of marijuana in the house.

Police were called about 7 p.m. Saturday to the Talleyville home. Officers say the homeowner, 39-year-old Arthur Kelly, had been shot when three people forced their way into his house.

Police say officers were unable to locate the home invasion suspects, but while searching the home found 40 pounds of marijuana, 96 Doses of LSD, and 20 amphetamine pills.

Kelly was treated at a local hospital and upon release was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, LSD and amphetamines.
