Wilmington Man Hit By Minivan, Taken to Hospital


WILMINGTON, Del. - A man is critically injured after he was struck by a moving minivan in Wilmington.

Delaware State Police say it happened Wednesday evening on Limestone Road, north of Sandy Drive.

Police say 31-year-old Nicholos Lingo, of Wilmington, was trying to walk across the northbound lanes of Limestone Road when he was hit by a northbound Chrysler Town and Country minivan.

Lingo had serious injuries and was taken to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center. He has been listed in critical condition.

Police say Lingo did not use the designated crosswalk.

The driver and passenger were not injured in the accident.
