UNDATED- The DFRC Blue-Gold All-Star Football Game Committee and Delaware Interscholastic Football Coaches Association have announced the head coaches selected for the 59th Annual DFRC Blue-Gold AlléStar Football Game, as chosen by the members of DIFCA. For this year's competition, Cordie Greenlea (head coach, Delcastle Technical High School) will lead the Blue team and Glenn Phillips, Jr. (head coach, Laurel Senior High School) will coach Gold.

Cordie Greenlea- Head Coach, Blue Team

Coach Greenlea's experience with DFRC began in 1999 when he was an assistant coach for Blue. He served as an assistant coach for Blue again in 2001 and 2012. Greenlea has been the head coach at Delcastle for the past three seasons.

"I feel it is an honor to coach in the Blue-Gold Game," said Greenlea. "I have worked with the special education population most of my teaching career and I love seeing students grow and blossom into independent and self-sufficient people. I believe, if given the opportunity, all people should have the ability to reach their potential."

The rest of Greenlea's staff includes Dave Battafarano (assistant coach, Delcastle Technical High School), Pat Hines (assistant coach, Delcastle Technical High School), Kevin Waesco (head coach, Tower Hill High School), and Tom Wood (head coach, Brandywine High School).

Glenn Phillips, Jr.- Head Coach, Gold Team

Coach Phillips first became involved with DFRC as a player representing Laurel High School for the Gold team in 1999. He has attended every DFRC Blue-Gold game since that year and joined the coaching staff for the first time as an assistant coach for Gold in 2013.

Phillips was appointed the head football coach of Laurel Senior High School in 2011 and says that being named the head coach of the DFRC Blue-Gold game has been a personal goal since getting involved in high school football.

"[Being the Gold head coach] is a great honor for me and my family," said Phillips. "The experience that the DFRC gave me as a young high school kid helped mold me into what I am today. I want to be able to spread the great word of DFRC down south and represent DFRC and Laurel High School to the best of my ability."

Joining Phillips on staff is Joey Deiter (assistant coach, Laurel High School), Eston Ennis (assistant coach, Woodbridge High School), Mark Quillen (head coach, Sussex Technical High School), and Mike Tkach (head coach, Milford High School).
