MILLSBORO, Del.- Delaware Police said that two concerned citizens who witnessed a residential burglary in the 62000 block of Bay Farm Road on Friday led to the arrest of two men.

The incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. after police received two calls about two men who were inside of an unoccupied home.

Police said that an officer went to the home's backyard, which was surrounded by a locked fence and found 31-year-old, Dale Parker standing by the rear door of the house.

Authorities said Parker was holding a stick that he had used as a pry tool.

Police said the officer took Parker into custody without incident.

Using descriptions provided by the witnesses, other officers located the second burglar, 38-year-old, Alex Sczcytkowski in a nearby parking lot.

Police said they determined that the pair had stolen jewelry from the residence.

Detectives were able to link Sczcytkowski to twelve other burglaries that have happened since September, in which electronics, cash and jewelry were taken.

Police said these residential burglaries occurred in the Millsboro and Long Neck areas.

Parker was charged with one count of burglary and related charges and committed to Sussex Correctional Institute on $10,000 secured bail.

Sczcytkowski was charged with thirteen counts of burglary and related charges. He was also committed to SCI on $36,000 secured bail.
