TOWNSEND, Del. (WBOC/AP)- Delaware State Police say a Maryland man injured in a weekend two-vehicle crash in Townsend has died.

Troopers said that 43-year-old Jesus Velazquez of Warwick, Md., died Sunday at Christiana Hospital.

According to police, Velazquez was traveling east on Blackbird Forrest Road about 11:55 p.m. Saturday when he failed to yield at a stop sign.

Police said a Lexus 300 driven by 65-year-old Antoinette Haysel of Rehoboth Beach hit Velazquez's Ford F-150 truck, ejecting Velazquez. A passenger in his truck fled the scene immediately after the collision, investigators said.

Haysel was treated for minor injuries at Christiana Hospital.

Police said alcohol consumption by Velasquez is considered a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
