SALISBURY, Md. (WBOC) -- The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says a Salisbury man is under arrest for assault, kidnapping and resisting arrest.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a deputy responded to an assault on the 600 block of Rose Street on Saturday. According to the deputy, 34-year-old Patrick Corbin had assaulted two people at the home, and then stole one of their vehicles.

During the investigation, the deputy learned Delmar Police was dealing with another disturbance also caused by Corbin, this one on E. East Street. That's where the deputy says Corbin had forcibly taken a woman from the home on Rose Street.

According to the Sheriff's report, when the deputy tried to take Corbin into custody, Corbin physically resisted arrest. After a struggle, the deputy was able to get Corbin into handcuffs. Then, once in the patrol car, Corbin kicked the windshield, causing substantial damage. It was also a physical struggle to get Corbin into a holding cell at the Sheriff's Office.

Throughout the incident, the Sheriff's Office says Corbin repeatedly said he was going to kill all involved in the incident, including the law enforcement officers.

Upon presentation to the District Court Commissioner, the Commissioner detained Corbin in the Detention Center in lieu of $75,000.00 bond.

Corbin is charged with Kidnapping, Second-Degree Assault, Resisting Arrest, Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Malicious Destruction of Property.
