Suspect Arrested for Snatching Woman's Purse at Seaford Wal-Mart

LAUREL, Del.- Police have arrested a suspect accused of snatching a woman's purse at the Wal-Mart on Route 13 in Seaford.

According to police, the incident happened at around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Investigators said 28-year-old Brian E. Taylor of Blades jumped behind a 56-year-old woman shopping inside the Wal-Mart and grabbed her purse from her shoulder.

Police said Taylor then fled the store and ran toward the nearby Walgreen's, where a brief foot chase ensued. Taylor was caught and the victim's purse was returned to her, police said.

Taylor was charged with robbery and ordered held at the Sussex Correctional Institute on $1,100 secured bond.
