SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities say a tip led to the arrest of a suspect in connection with an armed robbery that occurred outside a Salisbury convenience store.

Salisbury police said the incident happened at around 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Thirsty's on the 1100 block of Church Street. Police said two victims were sitting in a car just outside of the business when 31-year-old Glay Lashawn Kimble approached the driver and demanded money and cellphones. The victim told police he noticed a handgun in the suspects waistband and handed the items over, according to investigators.

Police said Kimble then entered a vehicle at the gas pumps and left the scene.

Investigators said they received a tip from the community identifying the suspect as Kimble. He was charged with armed robbery, assault, theft and possession of a firearm and turned over to the custody of Wicomico Central Booking.
