Man Stabbed and Robbed in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md.- Salisbury police are looking for two suspects wanted for stabbing and robbing a man walking down a city street late Sunday night.

Police said that shortly after 10 p.m., the victim was walking in the area of Waverly Street and Ohio Avenue when he was approached by two unknown males who asked him for a cigarette. According to police, the victim cursed at the pair, at which time he was assaulted from behind. Investigators said the suspects then attempted to take the victim's wallet and stabbed the victim in the leg with an unknown object. The suspects were only able to steal food items from the victim before running away from the scene, police said.

The victim went to a nearby convenience store for help and was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for his leg injury.

Police said both suspects were described as black males, with one wearing a gray hoodie and the other a black hoodie. No further description was given.
