Salisbury Police Arrest 2 for Robbing Food Delivery Driver

SALISBURY, Md.- Salisbury police have arrested two suspects accused of robbing a food delivery driver at gunpoint late Monday night.

Eric Eugene Wilson Jr., 17, and Claude Jerril Miles, 18, both of Salsibury were taken into custody Tuesday and charged with armed robbery, robbery, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, conspiracy to commit robbery and theft less than $1,000. Wilson is being charged as an adult, police said.

According to police, the incident happened at around 11:15 p.m. Monday when a driver for the Asian Taste restaurant went to a home on the 1100 block of Granbys Run to make a food delivery. According to police, the driver noticed that there were no lights on at the home and when he walked up to the house he was confronted by the suspects.

Police said that one of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded cash, food, and the victim's cellphone. The victim surrendered the items to the second suspect and they fled the scene. The victim was not injured and the officers were unable to locate the suspects that evening.

On Tuesday, SPD detectives recovered the stolen food items and located a witness who described one of the suspects. Detectives were able to identify Wilson and Miles as the suspects and arrested them on the aforementioned charges. Both were turned over to the custody of Wicomico Central Booking.
