Easton Pair Arrested for Stealing Charity Money Jar


EASTON, Md.- Easton police have arrested two people accused of stealing a charity money jar from the 7-Eleven convenience store on Ocean Gateway.

Police said the incident happened on Saturday. Officers who were called to the scene after the alleged theft were able to identify a blue van, which they subsequently stopped a few minutes later. A search of the vehicle was conducted and the money jar was recovered, police said.

Forty-year-old Syrinthia Foster and 36-year-old Chad Dreakford, both of Easton, were taken into custody and charged with theft under $100. Foster was ordered held on $7,500 bond and Dreakford was ordered held without bond.
