Project Pop-Up Provides Success for New Business

Posted:

MILFORD, Del. - Starting a new business can be difficult, especially around the holidays. For five local small businesses their new venture was a little easier with the help of Delaware's Project Pop-Up.

Paige Deiner is the proud owner of Milford Massage, Wellness and Yoga. She's been practicing yoga for four years now.

"I think that it's a real privilege to be able to work with people who come to you for a variety of challenges and to help them feel better about themselves," said Deiner.

This year she turned her hobby into a business thanks to the help of Project Pop-Up. The state-run program covered the first three months of rent for her and the other businesses involved.

"They've not only been supportive in helping me secure a place and kind of figure out things just logistically," said Deiner. "They've been really good at giving advice."

Deiner says business has been great for her and the town of Milford has embraced her new business.

The window for the financial help is closing. But Deiner is not worried about that. Her concerns lie elsewhere.

"I think ours is more of trying to keep things growing. That's really our goal is to make things bigger and better," said Deiner.
