Md. Casinos Generate $65M in Revenue in Dec.

BALTIMORE (WBOC/AP)- Maryland gaming officials say the state's four casinos generated more than $65 million in revenue.

The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency announced December's figures on Tuesday.

Hollywood Casino Perryville generated nearly $6.5 million from slot machines and table games. Casino at Ocean Downs generated more than $3.3 million in revenue on its 800 slot machines, which officials said was a 1.6 percent increase from December 2012.

Maryland Live! Casino generated more than $52.5 million from both slot machines and table games. And Rocky Gap Casino Resort generated $2.6 million from slot machines and table games.

Officials said in a year-to-year comparison - excluding Rocky Gap Casino Resort, which opened in May 2013 - December 2013 casino revenue increased from December 2012 by $17,168,872 or 38 percent.
