Cause of Barclay Fire Under Investigation

Posted:

BARCLAY, Md - The Maryland state fire marshal is investigating what sparked a fire in a residential trailer in Queen Anne's County.

Firefighters responded to the call just after 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the 100 block on Barclay Cutoff Road.

The two-alarm fire took 40 firefighters about an hour to get under control. Fire investigators say the flames caused roughly $20,000 in damage to the trailer and another $10,000 to contents inside.

The owner and his wife are being assisted by family members. The fire marshal asks anyone with information to call the Upper Eastern Regional Office at 410-822-7609.
