DOVER, Del.–  Crews from the Delaware Department of Transportation are preparing to work through the night Tuesday, as snow is expected to arrive in Delaware sometime this evening.

DelDOT spokesman Jim Westhoff said that in New Castle and Kent counties, crews have been sent home, but the full staff were to return to work at 8 p.m.  This is about 170 people per county.

Westhoff said that in Sussex County, 30 people are remaining at work this evening, monitoring the roads, and the rest of the staff has been told to expect to be called back to work sometime after 8 p.m.  Plans will finalized as the storm gets closer, and the forecast becomes clearer.

According to recent forecasts from the National Weather Service, areas of Delaware could receive between 1 and 4 inches of snow between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m.
