Milton Man Arrested For Sexual Assault

MILTON, Del. - Milton Police said that around 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, officers responded to a call of a sexual assault that happened in a portable latrine at Milton Memorial Park. 

Authorities said that 47-year-old Steven Hickman of Milton got into the latrine under false pretense and then the sexually assaulted a 19-year-old victim who has intellectual disabilities. 

Police said the victim was transported to Beebe Healthcare where she was treated and released. 

Milton Police obtained a warrant for Hickman's arrest and took him into custody without incident. 

Authorities said that Hickman was also wanted on a capias from family court. 

Hickman was committed to Sussex County Correction Institution in fault of $22,000 secured bond and $10,000 cash for the family court capias

He is charged with second degree rape, tampering with physical evidence, unlawfully administering drugs, unlawful sexual contact and indecent exposure.
