SALISBURY, Md.- The city of Salisbury's charges against a controversial business were dropped Wednesday morning in Wicomico County District Court.

B&Z Investments, the owners of the Red Light District Romantic Superstore on North Salisbury Boulevard, faced seven violations for failing to obtain a sign permit from the city. The charges have been nolle prossed, meaning the prosecution decided not to pursue the charges and the cases were closed.

Cynthia MacDonald, the attorney for B&Z Investments declined to comment. However, Salisbury Mayor Jim Ireton told WBOC that the business owners decided to pay their remaining fines on the infractions. The mayor also said the store's floor space is now in compliance with city code.
