Man Arrested in Rehoboth Cigarette Store Robbery

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (WBOC/AP)- Delaware State Police have arrested a man they say robbed a Rehoboth Beach cigarette store.

Police say about 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, a man walked into the DOT Discount Cigarette store on Coastal Highway. Troopers said the man gave the two female employees a note demanding cash and implied that he had a gun.

The employees gave the man cash and ran away.

Police said a trooper saw a man matching the description of the robber about 90 minutes later. He was arrested without incident.

Twenty-year-old Dennis Parkstone, of Rehoboth Beach, was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony. He was ordered held in the Sussex Correctional Institution on $35,000 cash bond.
