Parts of Deal Island WMA Closed Until April

DEAL ISLAND , Md. – Maryland's Department of Natural Resources said parts of Deal Island Wildlife Management Area (WMA) will be closed until mid-April.

According to DNR, the areas are closed for safety improvements until April 15, 2014. The gravel roads damaged by heavy use, misuse, and harsh weather will be restored.

The closure includes the areas surrounding the impoundment which includes access roads, parking lots and boat ramps accessible from Riley Roberts Road and Rt. 363 near Dames Quarter.
