DART Bus Service Status Changes Due to Storm

UNDATED- Due to the winter storm passing through the region, DART First State is announcing the following service updates for across the state of Delaware:

Fixed Route

New Castle County:  Operating a Saturday schedule with a delayed start up at 10:00 AM.  Saturday service includes the following routes:  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 17, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 33, 40, 54 & 55; Modifications include:

  • Rt. 1 –No service into Bellefonte
  • Rt. 8 – No service
  • Rt. 15 – No service into Jefferson Farms
  • Rt. 17 – No service into Holloway Terrace
  • Rt. 23 – No service into Stratford
  • Rt. 24 – Stays on Governor Printz Blvd.
  • Rt. 25 – No service into Llangollen

Kent County:  Operating a delayed weekday service start up 8:00 AM.  Delays can be expected.

Sussex County: Operating regular weekday service except Rt. 303's first roundtrip is not operating. Delays can be expected.

Intercounty:  Route 301 is operating a Saturday schedule.  Delays can be expected

Paratransit

New Castle County:  Operating delayed service with a start up at 10 AM.

Kent County:  Operating delayed service with a start up at 10 AM.

Sussex County:  Operating regular service.  Delays can be expected.

SEPTA Newark/ Wilmington Line:  Operating normal weekday service.  Delays can be expected.

    Some correctional officers in Delaware are concerned about staffing accommodations for maximum security inmates at the Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna, a prison that experienced an inmate uprising in February in which a correctional officer died.

    Jurgen Burgoyne, a former correctional officer, said he and colleagues who still work at Vaughn are concerned about a decision to resume giving maximum security inmates 17-and-a-half hours of recreational time a week.
