6 Arrested After Police Follow Tracks in Snow

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP)- New Castle County Police say they have arrested a man and five teenagers in connection with a home invasion after following tracks in the snow from the crime scene.

Police say about 2 a.m. Thursday, a Wilmington resident awoke to find someone holding what appeared to be a weapon standing at the bottom of the stairs. The resident also saw other suspects standing in front of the home.

The man said he was calling police, and the suspects ran away.

Officers followed tracks in the snow from the home to a nearby residence. A search warrant was obtained, and police say they found evidence linked to the crime.

Twenty-year-old Fernando Sierra and five juveniles were arrested and charged with home invasion, attempted robbery and other offenses.
