DOVER, Del.- A Camden-Wyoming man is behind bars after a Dover traffic stop led to his arrest on heroin-related charges.

Delaware State Police said that at around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, a state trooper assigned to the Governor's Task Force pulled 30-year-old Edward R. Hale over on East Lebanon Road for a traffic violation.

According to authorities, the trooper observed Hale lean across and throw something out of the passenger side window. Officials said that is when the trooper asked Hale to exit the vehicle and placed him in custody.

Troopers said they found eight small bags stamped "ADIDAS" tied together with a rubber band. The white substance inside tested positive for heroin, police said.

Hale was transported to Troop 3 where he was charged possession with intent to deliver heroin, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $8,000 bond.
