SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities have ruled as accidental and early Wednesday morning fire that heavily damaged Fratelli's Italian Restaurant on South Salisbury Boulevard in Salisbury.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the fire was reported by a passerby at around 1:46 a.m. It took 40 firefighters from all three Salisbury fire stations and the Fruitland Fire Department approximately 45 minutes to get the two-alarm blaze under control.

There were no reported injuries. The fire caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to the structure and another $100,000 in damage to its contents.

Investigators determined the fire was caused by a failure of a light fixture inside the restaurant's kitchen.
