Salisbury University's Pete Grasso Named Baseball Player of the Week
YORK, Pa. — Salisbury University freshman Pete Grasso has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Grasso assisted in the two victories for the No. 13 Sea Gulls (2-1) over Virginia Wesleyan College and No. 10 State University of New York at Cortland, during the week.
The Wilmington, Del., native went 7-for-11 at the plate for a batting average of .636 last week. He had a multi-hit performance in each contest, scored eight times and tallied two doubles and two RBIs, this week with a .733 on-base percentage.
Salisbury hosts State University of New York at New Paltz on Saturday, Mar. 1 at 12 p.m.
