Shore Transit, DART Bus Service Changes Due to Storm

UNDATED- Due to the winter storm passing through the region, Shore Transit, which serves Maryland's Lower Shore, and DART First State, which serves the state of Delaware, have announced the following service updates:

Shore Transit

Fixed Route Service- No new trips past noon Monday.

Regional Routes 431 & 451- no new trips past 11 a.m. Monday.

Curb to Curb Service - ending at noon Monday. Call Shore Transit if you have questions about your ride at (443) 260-2300.

DART First State

New Castle County:

DART is operating a Saturday schedule beginning at 10:00 AM, which includes the following routes:  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 17, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 33, 40, 54 & 55.  Delays can be expected.  Modifications include: 

  • Rt. 1 –No service into Bellefonte
  • Rt. 8 – No service
  • Rt. 15 – No service into Jefferson Farms
  • Rt. 17 – No service into Holloway Terrace
  • Rt. 23 – No service into Stratford
  • Rt. 24 – Stays on Governor Printz Blvd.
  • Rt. 25 – No service into Llangollen
  • Route 43 - opearting regular weekday service beginning at 10 a.m.

Kent and Sussex counties: No service.

Intercounty: Routes 301 and 303 suspended.

Paratransit

New Castle County:   Paratransit service is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.  Any paratransit trip with a scheduled pick-up prior to 10 a.m. is canceled.  The last paratransit pick-up in New Castle County is 7:30 p.m. Pickups after 7:30 p.m. are canceled.

Kent and Sussex counties:  No service

SEPTA Wilmington/Newark Line: Operating normal weekday service, however delays can be expected.  Please check www.SEPTA.org for updates.

Other public transit services on Delmarva with service updates include Star Transit, which serves much of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Star will begin canceling services at noon. For more information call (757) 787-8322.
