No Spring Break for the Lady Hawks

PRINCESS ANNE, Md.- The University of Maryland Eastern Shore officially begins spring break this Monday, however the softball team will have a full load.

Over the break UMES will face four of their MEAC rivals, including Howard University, North Carolina Central University, Savannah State University, and South Carolina State University.

The Lady Hawks will travel Saturday to Durham, N.C to battle the Eagles in a four-game series with the first pitch set for 1:00p.m.

In their last game UMES was swept in their doubleheader match-up against the University of Rhode Island, 5-1, and 6-1, respectively.

NCCU goes into this weekend's game winless on the year (0-17) and is looking to get their first win against the Lady Hawks.

The Lady Hawks will rely on recent hot hitters Morgan King who registered two hits, including a double, and Vanessa Gomez who went a perfect 3-3 from the plate and notched a double as well in their last contest.
